For help with Word: On the Menu bar, click Help and search for features, commands, and help articles. Or search online at Bing, Google, or support.office.com. You can edit your Word document on an iPad by using the native editors built into any of numerous other iPad apps that connect directly to Google Docs or other services.
Word template production could be very productive, except saving template edit is consistently blocked.
Save as template... is perfect, exceptional until Save as... is used for the same document that is saved as a template. Then Word Permissions block saving the template to the default template folder. Both Save as template... and Save as... are blocked.
Then the template and files created with the template are changed. An unusual bash number is appended to the end of each file name.
For example, Simple.dotx becomes Simple 20.35.98.dotx. Oddly, once the file is saved as Simple.dotx, and Word adds the bash appendage, then when the filename's bash is removed, renaming the file to the original Save as... file name, then finally Word stops bashing the template's fie name. But the Save as... and the Save as template... are still blocked.
A day passes and the bashing begins again. Another (similar) topic: while Apple's busy bashing Word, Apple Mail's deleted most of recent emails created by and stored in Apple Mail. Apple Care consistently blames Microsoft. For existing? Standards? Fair Trade?
Okay, back to the byte ~ confession here.
I always go back to editing templates.
Utter perfectionistic (thanks for the phrase, Suzanne Carter)!

One last somewhat related thought. Check out the page snip above. See those lovely green and blue spangles? Now imagine a relationship between DOM and Style. Now, FREAK OUT! 2016 Internet Of Things and Microsoft still can't wrap its arms around percent image sizes on Word page. Flip back and forth, between web and page view. Watch your hard work get wasted with a few clicks. Word allows 'web' saves, but NO STYLE ~ 10 pages of weird script to make the letter 'S'. Sad. Still beats anything Apple, for versatility... But, what's with Word blocking template saves?
